Our client is a Swedish electricity broker that connects energy suppliers with consumers, operating across sales, marketing, and customer support. As a newly founded startup, they came to us with a business goal: build a tool that would make their sales process fast, reliable, and largely self-running from day one. Univisia designed and built a Power Platform CRM paired with an AI-powered invoice analysis tool that reads customer electricity invoices, identifies the most cost-effective supply plan, and generates a ready-to-send proposal, all within minutes. The project ran from initial research in early April 2025 to first production operations in August 2025.
Although the project started with a clear business vision, the client had no existing product or established operational processes. As a startup preparing for market launch, they needed a platform that could support their entire sales operation while introducing AI into one of the most critical workflows: analyzing customer electricity invoices and recommending the best supply plans.
The project presented several key challenges:
The solution was built around a Microsoft Power Platform model-driven application backed by Dataverse, providing a centralized environment for managing the entire sales lifecycle: from lead qualification and opportunity management to proposal generation, contract signing, and billing.
To automate one of the most time-consuming processes, we implemented an AI-powered invoice analysis workflow capable of processing electricity invoices from multiple suppliers and formats. The solution extracts customer consumption and pricing data, combines it with available supply plans, and generates tailored recommendations together with a customer-ready proposal.
To support scalability and integrations, we complemented the platform with Azure Functions for serverless processing and a web portal for customers and third-party sales partners. Additional integrations with SharePoint, Scrive, and external pricing services enabled seamless document management, electronic contract signing, and automated supply plan calculations across the platform.
The platform became the operational, enabling the company to launch its energy brokerage services within just a few months. Since the initial release, the solution has continued to evolve with new features and integrations, supporting the client’s growth and changing business needs.
